Build a query
Ask your training history a question: your bests, your volume, how often you train.
Start a query
- Select ForgeIn the rail. Your saved queries are listed there.
- Select New queryIt starts with your best weight for each exercise over the last 4 weeks.
- Build your query, then select Run queryUse the four cards: Show, Filters, When, and Sort and limit.
The four cards
| Card | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show | The columns in the answer: an exercise, a date or week, and figures like Best weight or Total volume. |
| Filters | Which sets count: an exercise, a muscle group, equipment, a set type, a weight and more. |
| When | The period: the last few weeks, this month, a year, a day, or between two dates. |
| Sort and limit | The order of the rows, and how many to show. |
What you can show
| Kind | Columns |
|---|---|
| Bests | Best weight, Best reps, Best set volume, Estimated 1RM, Best time |
| Totals | Total volume, Total sets, Working sets, Total distance, Total time |
| Averages | Average weight, Average reps, Average set volume, Average time, Average session RPE |
| How often | Session frequency, Sets counted |
| Grouped by | Exercise, Date, Week, Month, Muscle, Muscle group, Equipment, Exercise type, Set type |
Estimated 1RM is worked out from your sets with the Epley formula. It's an estimate, not a lift you did.
Write a query
Select Write to see and edit the query as text, for example SHOW exercise, BEST(weight) WHERE LAST 4 WEEKS. Switching between Build and Write keeps your query.
Start from ours
Forge starts with saved queries such as Weekly volume, Current bests and Most trained exercises. Open one to see how it's built, then save your own.
